During the Salon provincial de machinerie agricole de Québec (Provincial Agricultural Machinery Exhibition of Quebec), held from  January  27  to  29,  2011,  Manulift  caught  everyone's attention with its impressive booth.

Indeed,  several  visitors  did  not  believe  their  eyes  when  they saw two Panoramic 55.9 lifting a Compact 25.6 at more than 3 m (10') off the ground.

Some of them, sceptical about Merlo's power, simply did not dare to walk under it!

This  exhibition  is  the  biggest  indoor  fair  of  agricultural  machinery  in  the  province  of Quebec  and  was  a  complete  success  for  Manulift.  Also,  it  was  a  good  opportunity  for customers from Eastern Quebec to meet Manulift's new agricultural team.

Manulift  effectively  took  this  opportunity  to  officially  launch  its new agricultural sales team:

  • Michael    Alexander,    Markets/Dealerships    Development Director,  is  the  manager  of  the  team.  Working  for  Manulift since  2007,  he  also  worked  on  the  establishment  of  the Toronto   office   and   in   2009;   he   launched   and   is   still developing  Manulift's  presence  in  Alberta.  Mr.  Alexander plays a major role in Manulift's expansion project throughout Canada.
  • Guillaume  Métaireau,  Sales  Representative  - Agricultural Division  (Monteregie,  Eastern  Townships),  is  working  for  Manulift  since  2007.  Mr. Metaireau has an agronomist diploma and is himself a former farmer; he can then really understand the producers' reality and is able to provide them with appropriate solutions.
  • Marc Boissonnault, Territory Manager - Agricultural Division (Ontario, all Quebec North of St-Lawrence River and Maritimes) joined the team last fall. He already has several  years  of  experience  in  developing  dealerships  and  will  be  in  charge  of Manulift's dealers' network development by establishing a solid network of dealers in the nearby provinces in his territory.

We can say without a doubt that the agricultural sector will change significantly in 2011, thanks  to  Manulift  who  plans  to  make  the  Merlo  brand  a  major  production  tool  for agricultural producers.
