Foreman Assistant – Ottawa

Based at our Ottawa branch and reporting to the Foreman, the Foreman Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring comprehensive follow-up on various tasks and files. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Foreman Assistant must be both organized and detail-oriented, while working efficiently and with a sense of urgency.

Main responsibilities:
  • Process and manage work orders (opening, data entry, closing, etc.);
  • Follow up on parts orders;
  • Handle follow-ups on warranty-related documents;
  • Manage subcontracting files (from creating POs to processing invoices);
  • Prepare quotes in accordance with the Foreman’s instructions;
  • Inform customers of any damage and the associated repair costs;
  • Offer support to other assistants during the Foreman’s absence;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Experience and desired skills:
  • Approximately 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset;
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written French and English;
  • Attention to detail and precision;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to structure;
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to execute tasks quickly and efficiently.
