Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Sales Representative Trainee will be responsible for assisting the Senior Representative(s) in their daily tasks to acquire unparalleled mentorship. While paired up with a senior sales representative, you will have to identify potential opportunities as well as support them in the entire sales process. This role will allow yourself to deepen knowledge and experience with on-the-field training with the support of our top sales talent.

Department: Sales

Main responsibilities:
  • Assist the territory manager during his daily activities such as site visits, prospecting days on the road, calls/customer meetings, etc.;
  • Identify construction sites as well as subcontractors in our software system (Manumap) to promote our machines by identifying sales/rental opportunities;
  • Identify the presence of our competitors on the sites and work in conjunction with the territory manager to convert any competition rentals;
  • Assist the territory manager in the entire sales/rental process (from identifying potential customers to delivering the machine);
  • Be present during rental or purchase deliveries to do the “walk-around”, the basic operation training, and to remind the functionalities of our products to the client;
  • Follow up with customers and collect user feedback, making sure to note everything in our CRM;
  • Strategically monitor areas of a territory (remote regions, large construction sites, and where the need for more frequent visits are required);
  • Collect the information required during an upgrade (machine information, photos, physical testing to ensure the proper operation) and complete the required form as well as increase your knowledge of the competition’s products;
  • Participate in drafting the rental or sales contracts;
Experience & Desired skills:
  • Relevant experience in sales (experience on the road is an asset);
  • Professional sales training is an asset;
  • Proficiency with Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Bilingualism: fluency in French and English both orally and in writing;
  • Resilient and natural go-getter focused on performance and career;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Motivation to achieve results and a thirst for learning;
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management;
  • Has a valid driver’s license;
  • Desire and willingness to relocate within Canada if necessary.
