Territory Manager – Special Markets – Central Canada

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Special Market Territory Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling the equipment offered by Manulift through certain specific markets in Ontario and Manitoba. Through his in-depth knowledge of these markets, on site representation, and solid relationships, he will have to develop the mining, hydroelectric, ports, railways and first nation markets. He will oversee and identify the needs of his customers and offer the appropriate solutions.

Main responsibilities:
  • Research, discover and establish new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling and create a client base (70%– 80%);
  • Analyze and identify the needs according to the types of markets and their different sectors / categories;
  • Conduct site visits to each of the targeted markets;
  • Develop new accounts and harness the potential of existing customers;
  • Develop, in collaboration with the marketing team, promotional documents;
  • Join associations relating to the various markets exploited and attend certain meetings, events, etc.;
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to clients;
  • Develop and maintain an important network of contacts among the industries designated to you;
Experience and desired skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an innate sense of maintaining and developing business relationships.
  • Sense of leadership / Entrepreneurial
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business development and / or sales;
  • Experience in targeted markets (municipality, military, government, national parks, airport, oil refinery) a must have;
  • Experience with a planning and monitoring system (CRM);
  • Autonomous, structured, and strong organizational skills;
  • Accustomed to long sales cycles;
  • Has a valid driver’s license.
