The Used Equipment Director plays a strategic role within the company, contributing to the national growth by developing and expanding the current resale network for used machinery in both Canada and the USA. This position involves overseeing sales of used machines, optimizing their online and internal visibility, and managing the entire process from evaluation to resale.

Department : Equipments

Main Responsibilities :
  • Establish partnerships with used equipment distributors and resellers.
  • Sell used machines and achieve volume, margin, and stock turnover goals.
  • Optimize sales at auctions.
  • Conduct market value analysis, anticipate repair costs, assess potential resale market, etc., to establish the best possible buyback value.
  • Become an expert evaluator of heavy machinery.
  • Generate sales opportunities by leveraging the needs of the resale network.
  • Ensure the smooth process of acquiring used equipment.
  • Develop an optimal distribution strategy through various platforms.
  • Manage the used equipment department daily and align strategy with required actions.
  • Maintain various performance indicators: resale network, new partners, volume, stock turnover, margins, preparation costs, machinery diversifications, etc.
  • Develop the new “CRM SALES FORCE” to manage buyback requests, contacts, contact parameters, opportunities, useful reports, etc.
  • Monitor machine preparation for resale and control costs, in collaboration with the equipment planner.
  • Manage the complete accommodation sales process.
  • Support the equipment department in various related tasks.
Experience and Required Skills:
  • Experience in management and coordination.
  • Bilingualism: Proficiency in French and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop professional relationships.
  • Prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, diligence in follow-ups, initiative, and judgment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must have a vehicle for travel purposes.
  • Experience using a CRM.
