Manulift EMI, Canadian importer of Merlo innovative telehandlers, has recently concluded an

important agreement with Stoltz Sales & Service, giving their three branches of Elmira, Listowel

and Mildmay the exclusivity of selling Merlo's agricultural telehandlers in Mid Western Ontario

region. Case IH dealer since 1978, Stoltz Sales & Service had been considering Merlo in order to

respond to the increasing demand for telehandler in agriculture.

Manulift EMI, the leader in telehandlers in Eastern Canada is currently heading a strategic

expansion plan consisting of signing strategic dealer agreements with dynamic businesses

established and recognized in their respective provinces for the quality of their goods and

In order to ensure the growth and to support new dealers, a start up plan has been jointly established with all the Manulift EMI departments. This plan includes a 90 day period during which Manulift EMI is providing the tools and training for the sales, parts and mechanics departments. Afterwards, the new dealers will be able to operate the Merlo franchise autonomously along with the continuous support and expertise of Manulift EMI.

Stoltz Sales & Service already received three Merlo models:

The popular Compact 32.6 LPLUS, a model as low as 6'2'' with closed and pressurized

cab, going up to 40 km/h, offering a 20' boom with 7000 lb of lifting capacity, very

popular in the poultry industry.

The powerful Turbofarmer, with 140 hp has the quickest hydraulic system on the

market allowing farmers to do bucket work of any type in fast and efficient manner.

The unique Multifarmer, invented in 2000 by Merlo, is the perfect fusion between the

telehandler and the traditional tractor. Its 20ft of boom, the 3 points hitch and the PTO at

the back make it the most versatile agricultural machine on the market.

Class I hydrostatic transmission, full anti-torsion chassis built with the exclusive Ring Of Steel TM,

low fuel consumption, powerful hydraulic systems and 360° visibility are just some of the traits

that Stoltz clients will be able to appreciate in the months to come.

''Stoltz is a family business like Manulift. They are very excited by the product; like we are. We

are therefore very happy to conclude this agreement and we foresee a good business relationship and a very good future, in this Ontario area, for the Merlo brand.'' comments Martin Drolet, Vice- President at Manulift EMI.
