Manulift and the Hôtel de Glace announce 3-year partnership

The Hôtel de Glace de Québec, which has just won the Business Excellence Award at the Canadian Tourism Grand Prix, has chosen Manulift as their official supplier of telehandlers, with its Merlo machines, to ensure the construction of the hotel for the next 3 years!

For several years now Merlo telehandlers have been used to build the hotel before you can enjoy the icy walls, snow arcs and ice sculptures. Their precision, their compact size and their versatility are some of the reasons why the Hôtel de Glace team, owned by the Calypso Valcartier Group, loves them. The group has also agreed to test a machine for the set up of the Vlilage Vacances Val Cartier or the Calypso Aquatic Park in the spring!

Merlo’s machines are built to excel in Canadian winters. Before even being shipped out to Canada from Italy, each machine is put to the test in a weather chamber that can hit -40 degrees Celsius. Building such a unique structure requires precision. Merlo machines are able to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing power, which makes them the perfect choice to build this unique destination and to set up any kind of temporary installations.

Plus, two machines will stay on site all winter to take care of snowplowing and maintaining the site!

The Hôtel de Glace (Ice Hotel) will be open from January 2 to March 20, 2022.
