Atteindre de nouveaux sommets avec Merlo
Manulift is proud to announce its partnership with SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia. As Canada's telescopic handler specialist, we have supplied a Merlo P50.17 to help them reach new heights on their slopestyle mountain bike course. Just in time for the Crankworx British Columbia 2021 event, September 30 to October 2!
Located near Vernon in the Okanagan, SilverStar Mountain Resort was built as a local ski resort in 1958 and has now become a world-renowned vacation destination, no matter the season! In winter, SilverStar becomes an idyllic ski and snowboard resort with an abundance of natural snow. In summer, the hill becomes a favorite spot for mountain bike racing and hiking.
The Crankworx British Columbia event will host some of the world's best professional extreme mountain bike athletes. Crankworx B.C. will temporarily replace the usual stop in Whistler. Crankworx Whistler is expected to return to the world tour calendar in August 2022.
The slopestyle competition will be the second event of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship (SWC) season. SilverStar's new course has been in operation since summer 2019, combining the vision, creativity, and muscle power of Brett Rheeder and Matt MacDuff, pro riders and module builders. The power, precision, and stability of their Merlo P50.17 allowed them to create a breathtaking course! With their Merlo telehandler, SilverStar can take advantage of the most versatile machine on the market. The P50.17 offers a 56-foot mast with a lifting capacity of 11,000 lb. With its cab suspension system and stabilizers, it can work on the most difficult terrain, even on the side of a mountain!
Coverage of the event will include live races and competitions on Red Bull TV, with highlights, behind-the-scenes action, and more!
